  1. You do know that agriculture uses 80% of California's water. A lot more water would be saved if drip irrigation was used in the fields than by xeriscaping around homes. And this comes from someone who replaced their North Hollywood lawn with drought resistant plants, only to sell it, and find that landscaping had been replaced with another lawn.

  2. If Australia is the center of the film industry, why do people say Hollywood to refer to it? And, the Bay area is called Silicon Valley for a good reason. A lot of the original Unix work was done in Berkeley (hence BSD). The PC used an Intel8086 chip. Intel was in the Bay area.
