Oh yes, of course they were longing to have their right to express their feelings suppressed. What a relief a totalitarian dictatorship is to those chaffing under its authoritarian oppression. I've read writings of those in favor of slavery, saying how much slavery helped the slaves, because their master provided all their needs. This sounds similar.

The Chinese have been using Huawei to spy on other countries. If you can't see the difference between preventing that spying, and China's reneging on their one country, two systems agreement, you are incapable of critical thought.

The question should be, why is having a banner against the law? Why should anyone be punished for speaking their mind or being in favor of freedom of speech? And why will those who express their thoughts, be carried off to the mainland, to be tried by a kangaroo court?
