  6. I can't find any reference to people being thrown in jail for being gay, like happened in Zambia, in the 20th century, let alone the 21st. Most states reversed their anti-sodomy laws in the 1970's. That the Supreme Court didn't strike down the last sodomy law till 2003, only affect 8 of the 50 states. These Zambian men are sentenced to 15 years in jail. The ambassador has a right to be critical.
