@mrm2746 The US has bases in Germany, but none of the eastern European countries. Sure, due to Putin's constant aggression, we've sent troops to our NATO allies most in Putin's crosshairs, but we have no bases there. If the US has no bases in Poland or Estonia, why do you assume we'd put bases in Ukraine? Your entire argument is a red herring. And, Putin has put bases in all the territory he has conquered. Russia is illegally occupying parts of Moldova, Georgia and Ukraine, and has military bases in all that stolen land.

@alanakafang6143 Ah yes, the 'climate has always changed' fallacy. The point people make, those aren't willfully ignoring the problem, is the rate of change is much more rapid than ever seen, since the human species evolved. Never before has the climate changed so drastically, just in one human's lifespan. And I'm not talking about outliers, like one year saw this temperature fifty years ago, but a constant delta towards a hotter planet. The last seven years have been the hottest on record, until the next year rolls in.

NATO is a purely defensive force. They will not attack Russia, only respond to Russian attacks on allies.

@brentharrington8134 Mainly, stop relying on fossil fuel for energy. We need more electric cars. We need to switch to green energy sources, like nuclear or renewables. We need better energy storage solutions (batteries) so we can use more intermittent energy sources. We should put seaweed in cattle feed, to reduce their methane output. But, most of all, we need to address the human overpopulation problem. Even if we did not change our energy sources, climate change would not be dramatic, if the number of humans, on this planet, had not more than doubled in the last fifty years.
