Remember, when California followed the examples of Colorado, Washington and Oregon, it gave dispensary license preference to black owners. They also made the red tape so extreme, mom and pop OC growers could not compete with big agri. He might just be working, to make sure the nation doesn't do the first, but does do the latter.

  3. In the 1970s, the major driver of US inflation, were constant union strikes, and rising worker wages. Perhaps, at a time we are already dealing with inflation, Biden doesn't want to make it worse, and that is why he's quashing rail worker demands. He was an adult, when the 1970s strikes were happening. I was just a child, and remember those strikes, and how it made costs climb. Biden knows, better than most, what comes of this. In addition, unlike in the 1970s, we could automate away most rail worker jobs. In Japan, freight is loaded and unloaded by robots, and AI can easily replace the engineer. If human workers become too expensive, they might lose all pay, not just sick pay.

  4. You clearly were not alive in the 1970s, when constant labor strikes, and wage hikes, drove inflation. I was just a child, but remember. Biden was an adult, and knows one successful strike will cause another, in another union, and the result will be even worse inflation that we now face. BTW Railroad fall into transportation, not production. They produce nothing, they just move products and people. And, if they demand too high a wage, we now have the capability to automate their jobs away.

  5. The Republicans kept telling us how they would make Trump Speaker, that one needs not be a House member to be Speaker. So, how about the remaining Republicans, who still have a soul, and patriotic Democrats, make L:iz Cheney Speaker of the House. Sure, the bat sh1t crazies, in both parties, would never go along with this. But, there have to be enough patriotic House members, of both parties, impressed with Cheney's patriotism, to do this. And it would so roast the chestnuts of the Magats.
