They now recommend it for people over 65. It is a pity that the US government prevents research into the useful properties of the plant.

  2. When I had chemo for cancer 5 years ago, my oncologist wouldn't help me get a medical card. Instead she prescribed oxycontin. My daughter made me magic cookies instead. This kept me from having to take an addictive drug. The physicians know cancer patients get addicted, because when you are done with treatment they give patients information on addiction clinics, and offer to get you into a program. The fact they won't help prevent addiction makes this maddening.
