And he certainly wasn't raised as a Jew. The idea that Loughner was Jewish was created by racists like David Duke and has been discredited. Her maiden name (Tottman) and her mother's maiden name are both Irish, not Jewish, names. I really doubt that anyone whose favorite book is Mein Kampf would be considered a devotee of Judaism.
