  1. My mother used to "extend" coffee with chicory. It tasted horrible, bitter, and not at all like coffee. I'll pass. Trust Seattle, home of Starbucks, home of burnt beans, to come up with a nasty tasting, bitter brew. Portland has better coffee. I've driven a Prius since 2007, and buy a lot of upcycled products, but will stick to real coffee.
