Polls were showing Democrats would do well, in the midterms, and then Biden instituted his unconstitutional student loan debt forgiveness. He was badly advised, that it would bring out infrequent (ie. lazy) voters. But, it is bringing out more voters, opposed to this act, and changing the mind of moderates. Biden ran as a moderate, and should govern as such. He really has to jettison all his 'progressive' advisors, they live in a bubble, and don't seem to realize how incredibly unpopular their ideology is.
