I watched it on CSPAN, but just muted it when they did the color reporting during the breaks. Without anyone telling me what to think, I saw evidence of a president breaking several laws. The amusing bit was when Sondland had finished answering Democratic questions, and Schiff turned it over to Nunes. Nunes just audibly gulped, doing his best impression of a frog that had swallowed a wasp. Schiff was far too kind, as he then called a break to give Nunes time to collect his thoughts. And Sondland turned to cameras with an enormous grin on his face. touche

@mikeroberts8609 It was supposed to be released as soon as the Pentagon certified Ukraine was adequately addressing corruption, which was more than three months before it was released. We all know the only reason it was finally released was Trump got caught.

Steezy Mac What prosecution? The one that was frozen because Shokin took a bribe. By getting Shokin removed Biden increased the chances Barisma would be investigated. So he put the interests of the country over the interests of his son.

Do you know what was "an orchestrated campaign to upend our political system"? Going after a president for real estate dealing, then latching onto him getting a bj in the oval office. How did this impeachment start? Trump illegally withheld foreign aid, to force another country to illegally help him with his 2020 campaign, Congress found out and began investigations and brought forward witnesses to this crime. Can't get more organic than that.

@Raffi Basmajian Classified is actually not secret enough to be put in the secure data storage it was hidden in. Even those with sufficient security clearance were not allowed access. And sure when a criminal is caught, they often deny their crime. Fortunately, we had a wealth of patriots to testify to Trump's perfidy. By the way, we still haven't seen the transcript, just a cleaned up readout.

@TheClownVP Do you always believe what hostages say with a gun to their head?

@robertkurtz7587 Mulvaney, Pompeo, Bolton, etc. You know everyone you can't claim is a hearsay witness. This broad claim that all members of the White House staff and cabinet cannot testify is unprecedented. Even a lawyer's privilege is undone by the crime-fraud exception.

No, there is a law that requires the president to notify Congress if he wants to place a hold on any aid they have funded. Even if he had not done it for criminal reasons, placing a hold without notifying Congress was illegal. Once the Pentagon verified that corruption was being checked, the aid should have immediately flowed to Ukraine. Trump broke the law when he held it up.

Couldn't be worse than what we have now.
