  3. Historically, Virginia has elected a governor from a different party of the president. The only time recently, that has not held was when McAuliffe was elected last time. His Republican opponent was Ken Cuccinelli, who was virulently homophobic. Then McAuliffe might have only won because Cuccinelli was so vile, as the difference in votes was much less than the number of votes that went to the Libertarian, Sarvis. Several pundits have stated that Sarvis got the votes of those who would have voted Republican, but could not pull the lever for Cuccinelli. I'm not certain that conservatives and moderates, disgusted by Youngkin would vote for Princess Blanding, as she is more a police reform candidate, and not your typical Libertarian candidate, but more left than McAuliffe. So, McAuliffe will have a difficult time winning, and that was only made harder when he stated that parents shouldn't interfere with what their children are taught in school. Maybe, considering Biden's tanking poll numbers, McAuliffe would be better served distancing himself.

  4. The problem is there are Democrats, on the far left, who are not acting like Democrats, but are more in line with the Marxist, Sanders. If only they'd stop impeding the infrastructure bill, in a sick attempt to shove an inflationary bill down the taxpayers' throats. The ACA helped all Americans, yet it still cost Democrats in the primary. This overly large social spending bill only helps those with young children, costs a lot, and will make inflation soar. Imagine how badly it will hurt us in the midterms.

  5. Virginia always elects a new governor. Their governor may only serve one term. He can come back later, like McAuliffe has done, but not serve a consecutive second term.
