  2. No, this is not win/win. Trump's intransigence is holding up the transition. Every new administration needs time to ramp up. Since Trump has done little to fight this virus, Biden's team will need to act on day one. Vital data is being kept from them.

  3. Yes, all the platforms (mRNA, DNA, genetically modified chimp adenovirus) had already been developed, some for Ebola, some for a universal influenza, or universal malaria vaccine, some as a potential vaccine for HIV.

  4. I don't know what you mean by "swabbing for virus". Moderna and BioNTech (Pfizer) regularly tested for presence of the virus using a PCR test, in its test subjects.

  5. It's not like they are rushing these vaccines without safety and efficacy trials. I'd take one, after getting a look at the data. I'm more interested in whether the vaccine evokes cellular immunity (CD8) than humoral immunity (IgG).
