I was a teen in the 1970s. At that time, everyone knew that magazines and television, with models like Twiggy, were giving young girls an unrealistic body ideal. I remember being in my early 20s, at five and a half feet tall, destressed that I couldn't get my weight below 110 lbs. It's not just social media that is bad for girl's self image, but all media. It's just that social media is so much more pervasive, and it's easier for people to post altered (photoshopped) images of themselves.

Glad I grew up in the 60s and 70s. The only computer game, I played in college, was Zork, on a PDP11. Went back for grad school in the 90s, and the only thing I used the internet for was FTPing a compiler's object code, and posting on a few bulletin boards.

I thought it weird that he wouldn't let her into her own van "because of her OCD". Shouldn't the owner of a van have the right to ask another to clean off their shoes before getting in the van? What gave him the right to prevent her from entering her own vehicle? Just that little police cam snippet showed him to be a domineering control freak, who was gaslighting her into thinking she was the problem.

Yeah, where does he get off, preventing her from getting in her own van? Shouldn't he be the one forced to stay outside, till he knocked the dirt off his shoes?

I don't know if he was violent, but he sure was domineering. It was her van, and when she asked him to clean off his shoes, before entering, he made it about her OCD, and wouldn't let her into her own van until she calmed down? What a schmuck! He could have just knocked the dirt off his shoes, and not gaslighted her.

@ShaneOmac831 Isn't auto theft against the law?

There are hundreds of thousands of them, hardly unique.
