@billmurray1431 Most Democrats voted for this bill. The few who did not, are just as unconcerned with the common good, as the Republicans, who did not.

Except Trump would never have backed this bill, it includes money for safe drinking water, and nothing for his idiotic wall.

Trump was constantly having infrastructure weeks. And both sides, of both houses, were willing to pass infrastructure bills, but not those that had massive funding for his stupid wall. And he refused to sign any bill that did not fund his stupid wall.

@2Exile0 Of course you think poor people getting safe drinking water, and rural folk getting decent internet, just helps corporations. Can you ever see beyond your talking points? The 'progressives' were willing to hurt the American people, if they could not shove an inflationary bill down their throats. Yes, the Republicans, who would not vote for this bill are terrible people, who care nothing for the populace, but so are the Democrats who did the same.

@lexslate2476 What about those who voted for the "spiteful, stupid" 'progressives' who voted against this bill? Both the far right, and far left don't give a damn about what is good for the people.

Since the two party system in nowhere in any of our laws, how would you do that? The last time, a third party rose to any real power, was just before the Civil War, when the Republicans arose from abolitionist minded Whigs and Democrats. With the Republican party being coopted by Trump, and the Democratic party becoming coopted by the 'progressive' minority, we need a new, moderate party for sane people, who believe in the common good and constitutional freedoms. A recent poll showed 62% of Americans believe we need a new party, because current parties do not represent the interests of a majority of people. There recently was a zoom meeting of 120 Republicans, thinking of forming their own conservative, anti-trump party. But, the most popular attempt to do so, under Ross Perot, only got 19% of the popular vote. So, even if the Electoral College was undone, it would be hard for a third party to succeed, no matter how badly it is needed.
