  1. How do you know there were no signs of blood? Where did you read there were no footprints? This occurred in the wee hours of the morning, when nobody would have been up, to see the murderer leave.

  2.  @thelogicaldanger  I'm certain most people's personal experience proves your assertion wrong. The two times I got really drunk, in my youth, I slept like the dead. Nothing could have awaken me. And, my mother got drunk every New Year evening, she certainly did not sleep lightly.
