WR Hearst printed the most jingoistic tripe, much more aligned with the sort of garbage one sees on Fox "news" than anything found in the Washington Post. Think of the similarities between his pushing of fear of "the yellow peril" and Fox's coverage of the "caravan", and you will see who really is the inheritor of his "slimy" journalism.

Putting footnotes at the end of a chapter, or the book, is more common in books, because it makes the text more readable. If you read a book on an electronic media, like a kindle, it is very easy to check the attribution.

Thank you for an intelligent comment. She did say that there were stupid mistakes and quote marks should have been used. Frankly, I feel that quotes aren't enough in a long quoted passages, italics or another differentiating font should be used.
