  1. France didn't shoot itself, in the foot like Germany did. France gets 70% of its electricity from nuclear power, 17% is from recycled nuclear waste. France is about to build six new nuclear powerplants, and is considering an additional eight. Meanwhile, Germany has been mothballing its powerplants, and switching back to fossil fuel.
