What harm? Are you barking mad?

What you don't seem to understand is, in a democracy, everyone gets a vote, even those you disagree with. But, you think you've the power to decide to jettison systems and people you don't like. You don't. Nor is your opinion the truth. You want a parliament? Move. Maybe Canada would take you.

@nellieltuodelschwanck736 Do you seriously think a majority of adult citizens don't vote? And do you honestly think that those who don't vote, do it because they have no access? That idea is belied by actual voter turnout, where the majority do vote. And by the fact that voter turnout drops in non-presidential years. It isn't easier to vote every four years, people are just more motivated. I live where we've voted only by mail, since 1998, and yet in several critical elections, my younger daughter chose not to bother to vote. All she had to do was fill out her ballot, and drop it in the mailbox. But, that was too much of a hassle.

No, it's the epitome of harassment. You may think it's the right thing, but many more realize how amazingly stupid it would be. You do realize that most political experts are sure the Republicans will retake the Senate, don't you? Expanding voter access will not change that. And then, the Republican majority will pass whatever they want, and Democrats will not be able to stop them.

@corneliussqualls1544 If Congress really wanted to lower drug prices and expand Medicare benefits, they would have drafted a bill with only those two items. Instead they used those items as a sugar coat for a very bad, inflationary bill. Sugar coated manure is still manure.

@johnnysoccer1983 Look at her voting record, she's a moderate Democrat, like the vast majority of her party.

Of course, you never consider that those Democrats, against removing the filibuster, might have a good reason. Are you so deluded, that you believe the Democrats are going to control the Senate after the midterms?

Jon Oh, proof exists. Of course, most of the paltry amount of election fraud, were illegal votes for Trump. He told his people to vote by mail, and vote again at the polls, and many of his cult did. Then they had hissy fits when they were caught. And there were at least three guys, caught voting for Trump, in the names of dead relatives.

@utube012341 You mean ballot ballet is a type of dance.

So, over one issue, Republicans are cheering on Manchin and Sinema, just as Democrats are cheering on Kitzinger and Cheney. It just shows how shallow most people are, that they do not look at the totality of a politician.
1
Have you looked at her voting record? She sure votes like a Democrat. Maybe you're the one in the wrong party.
1
I'm a Democrat, but never would vote a straight Democratic ticket. I weigh my vote carefully and research the candidates. Recently, I've found I cannot vote for any of the candidates on my ballot, so I write in one of my daughters or my son-in-law. The more both parties move to the extremes, the more often I'll have to do that. The problem with this country is too few parties, not too many. What we really need is a third, moderate party, for those disgusted with the fringe takeover of both parties.

The problem is, many of the changes in the voting rights act will be tossed by the Supreme Court, and never take effect. Plus, even if every citizen can vote with ease, the Republican controlled state houses can toss out any slate of electors, they don't like, and replace it with their own. Voting rights won't stop Trump from taking power again. That will take the reform of the Electoral Count Act. Why is everyone focusing on the wrong thing? First reform the Electoral Count Act, so only the will of the people, not the legislature, selects the president.

If you bothered to look up their voting records, you'd see they vote like Democrats. It's really easy to do online. But, you'd rather believe a falsehood, than see that you're wrong.
