  1.  @TheBioExplorer  I'd take Nixon over any of the presidents who came after him, with the possible exception of Clinton. Name another president that proposed a guaranteed annual income, or has done more for the environment than founding the EPA. And as to foreign policy, everyone gives Reagan credit for things Nixon, or rather Kissinger, set into motion. It was Nixon who first visited China, and warmed relations with the USSR. He started no new wars, and got us out of Vietnam. And many of the things he did really helped people, like having the government pay for renal dialysis. I wasn't fond of his coziness with J. Edgar Hoover, or the Watergate coverup, but all in all, he was good for the country.
