@davidstephen6753 Ah, that's a uniquely Christian thing. Other religions don't give people a get-out-of-jail-free card to commit evil acts and hurt others. Each year religious Jews fast for 26 hours, but that doesn't remove the hurt done to others. You have to ask the person you hurt to forgive you. And Jews don't value faith above all. To be a good person, you have to behave like a good person, not just profess belief. Even if you don't believe in god at all, if you treat others well and don't break too many rules, you are still considered a good person. But then, we don't have the carrot and stick of heaven or hell either. I don't know a lot about other religions, like Shinto or Buddhism, but I don't think they are allowed to be horrible to others, and just confess either. All your condemnations of religion, are actually specific to Christians.
