@OhioOwns Trump's cult didn't just ask for recounts, they asked for repeated recounts, when the results were against them. They tried to submit phony slates of electors, and overrule the will of the people. They filed 63 lawsuits, of which they only won one partial victory. Despite their constant allegations of fraud, the only fraud found was illegal votes for Trump. Further, Republican run legislatures, in several states, have passed laws allowing them to substitute whatever slate of electors they want, in place of those chosen by the people. This is a threat to democracy, and must be countered by reforming the Electoral Count Act, so only the people's chosen electors count.

@davidhardwick3816 Do not demand that people vote a straight party ticket, while the party is in delusion of the ideological makeup of the electorate. We cannot expect to win, with an unpopular agenda being driven by a tiny, far left fraction of the party. Only 6% of the nation's electorate, 11% of the Democratic party, identifies as "progressive", yet Biden pissed away his first year in office trying to force a "progressive" agenda with an evenly split Congress. The bipartisan infrastructure bill passing, was a good achievement, and Democrats can run on it this year. Yet, the "progressive" members of the party tried to kill it, so they could pass the extremely unpopular BBB bill. Democrats think their only problem is messaging, but it really is we try to do things most of the country hates. We keep being told that individual parts of BBB were super popular, yet the bill as a whole polls very poorly, and the CBO score proves it will make inflation worse. Biden ran as a moderate, that is why he won. Yet, he lets the unpopular left flank dictate what he does. eg. He insists he'll only consider a black woman for the next justice, when only 27% of the country is in favor of excluding other candidates. And then, despite the fact it was obvious it would fail, the party tried to push through a voting rights bill, that has serious constitutional flaws. In order to try and do that, the party demonized Senators crucial to passing any bill. This only makes the party look even more disconnected from reality. NYC's city council has passed a rule, allowing illegal aliens to vote. It doesn't matter they can only vote in local elections, the very fact they passed such a rule makes all liberal look insane. Biden was wise to support NYC's new, tough-on-crime mayor, but it was too late. He should have spoken strongly against the whole 'defund the police' stupidity, while still on the campaign trail. The party's problem is not messaging, but an inability to understand most of the nation, even registered Democrats, are strongly opposed to a "progressive" agenda.
