  2. It is less riddled with imbecility, and much more with corruption. One of the major problems, the Russians had at the start of the war, was tanks, that were supposed to filled with gas, were practically on empty. Officers had siphoned off the gas, and sold it on the black market.

  4. It was a different time. Obama was very weak, when it came to international affairs, and the US was still bogged down in Afghanistan. Other NATO nations saw no reason to expend money on defense. And Russia had not truly begun to mess with other countries' elections. Now, the US is out of Afghanistan, with egg on our face. And, we suffered four years under rule of an incompetent, corrupt, authoritarian nincompoop, that Putin had gotten into office. Britain is suffering from the effects of Brexit, another Russian disinformation campaign win. We see authoritarian jerks, who also cozy up to Putin, running Turkey, Hungary and Brazil. Putin has fowled everyone's nest, so the free world is angry. We're constantly warned, 'Don't poke the bear'. Well, the bear has poked a sleeping giant, complacent and rich democracies, and it has risen. The bear is no match to what it has awoken.

  5.  @casebarreoltt5990  Voting, at gunpoint, is hardly democratic. Nobody recognizes the result of that sham "referendum".
