@richardreese8038 No we don't. While it is correct to require proof of citizenship to register to vote, once registered, one's signature should be enough to verify identity. Further, there are several states which vote only by mail. They use the same mechanism, to verify signatures on ballot envelopes, that banks use to verify signatures on checks. It works well, to weed out those trying to vote in another's name.
