It sounded to me like he was trying to get both Fauci and Collins to say this virus came from a lab leak, and both truthfully answered that they don't know for certain, but it really isn't likely. Both said, as all credible scientists believe, it is far more likely this was just another in a long line of zoonotic diseases that jumped into our species, like SARS, MERS, AIDS, Ebola, Marburg, etc. etc. etc.
