  2. This reminds me of parliamentary governments, where no party has enough seats for control, and a coalition must be formed. Would that be such a bad thing? I think a coalition of moderate Democrats and Republicans, holding McCarthy's reins would be a lot better than him answering to the likes of Greene and Gohmert.
