  1. Better yet, make sure everyone can vote. In Oregon, we all vote by mail. It is easy to register on-line, and one can register up to the day before our ballots are mailed out. Then, we have a couple of weeks to mail in our paper ballot. Thus, no mean spirited poll worker can turn those of the "wrong" color away, and nobody needs to beg time off to wait for hours to vote. Since, it seems voting day will never be made a holiday, this is the best way to ensure all can vote.

  2. The reason Iowa has caucuses is New Hampshire. New Hampshire insists on being the first primary in the nation. But, Iowa wants to precede them, so has caucuses. We need to change the order of primaries, preferably rotating them using random selection. This nonsense, where tiny white states get to decide everything has to end. As to the Electoral College, yes it should go. But, I doubt the states, who have out-sized power because of it, would be willing to ratify the necessary Constitutional Amendment.

  5. Nah, their problems arose from expecting technological competence from the elderly election workers. I'm in my 60s, but am a computer programmer, so helped develop some of the stuff everyone uses today. Some of my friends inability to use a smart phone makes me crazy. Some of them continue using taxis, because they can't get a handle on Uber or Lyft. There should have been weeks of training on the App.

  7. I hope you're wrong. A Sanders candidacy will ensure another Trump win. Union workers won't give up their good medical insurance. Swing states won't vote for a socialist. Trump is hoping for a Sanders win. It would be a dream come true for him.

  11. I'm not sure it was design, but lack of testing. But, more likely it was technological incompetence. I still remember helping my mother install a printer ten years back. I asked her where the installation CD was. She seemed confused, so I asked her if there were a disk in the packaging. She said "yes" because when she put it in the CD player it didn't work, so she threw it in the garbage. She was in her early 80s, like so many of the campaign workers.
