  2.  @sebastianliebmann6014  No Russia demanded NATO make such assurances, but they were never given. Russia promised Ukraine and Georgia, if they gave them their nuclear arsenals, Russia would never attack them. Russia broke its promise, not NATO.

  4.  @hirdleyreid5796  If Putin really wanted countries to not join NATO, he'd stop his aggression, and stealing territory from those other countries. Every time he acts like a bully, he gives those countries he menaces, more reasons to join NATO.

  6.  @503sld  This is black and white. It was Russia, not the US, who sent in troops into Ukraine and Georgia, and is still illegally occupying parts of those countries. It is Russia, who has stationed 150,000 troops around Ukraine, and all the support needed for those troops. The US has only answered the call of treaty allies, and is reinforcing their troops. If Putin withdrew the troops, threatening Ukraine and our NATO allies, the US would also withdraw.

  8. Napoleon actually brought a secular, humanist government, to every country he conquered. He believed in equality for all. Many minorities were better off, under Napoleonic rule. Putin is more like Hitler, gobbling up small countries under the pretense of a common language. But, he reminds me most of Erdogan, intent on restoring a lost empire, despite how those he would rule feel about it.

  9. The US doesn't want a war, but is prepared to fulfill its treaty obligations to other NATO members. If there is a war, the fault will lie with Russia not any other country.

  10.  @dr.OgataSerizawa  Irrelevant? Really, just because you aren't paying attention to the terrorist regimes, it is arming and training, doesn't mean they don't exist. Ask the people of the UAE how they feel about Iranian backed Houthis attacking their cities.
