  2. If someone came to Ellis Island with TB, they were forced to return. If only one member of a family was sick, just the sick person was sent back, no matter if they were child or adult. Parents had to decide if one of them would return with the sick child. Just having a cough could put you in quarantine. And they put quotas on certain people, like Jews and Irish. It got so bad at Ellis, that my grandfather was sent to America through the port in Galveston. He had all his papers, and didn't sneak into the Southwest.

  3. Trump is right, just as Obama was right, to deport illegal aliens. But Trump is wrong to claim am expensive wall will solve anything. People can still be smuggled in, they can use tunnels, and half of illegals just overstay their visa. The only real way to solve this problem is to severely punish those who hire illegals. Grant a few more temporary worker visas for seasonal workers, no dependents. But investigate every business that hires workers and make them prove all of their workers' immigration status. Impose massive fines on those who don't vet their workers properly and the jobs will dry up.
