How did the energy department come to this asinine conclusion? All experts in viral genetics say it would have been impossible for the viruses, being studied in that Wuhan lab to have mutated into Covid19, which has a lot more in common with coronaviruses found in wild bat colonies in the province. How do the account for the fact all the primary cases clustered around two wet markets, while none were on the other side of the river, closer to the lab? What are the qualifications of the people who decided the lab theory was even remotely possible? Are there any virologists working for the department of energy, and if so, why? I really wish people would stay in their own lanes. A physicist knows nothing about viral genetics.

Only an ignoramus would believe it. The dept. of energy has stepped out of its area of expertise.
3
They have. And their findings are that the virus came from wild bat populations. Someone is out over their skis.

A low confidence assessment from a department with no experts in the field.

Nah, the question is why they would release it on their own population first? This is such BS! DOE knows jack about viruses.

Because nobody, with any expertise, in the field of virology, would issue such a stupid report.

@christinacody8653 No, they wouldn't understand medical science or virology, any more than a person, who has studied virology, would know about nuclear fusion. Certainly nobody in the department of energy know anything about viral genetics.

@redalert2834 It is beyond stupid. To anyone with even a smattering of knowledge of viral genetics, it is moronic and dangerous.
