  1. I lived in Hillsboro, Oregon for ten years, and the cops there not stellar. Once, when racist skinheads were active, our house was spray painted with swastikas. We called the police, to report a hate crime, and the officer they sent out told us not to worry, because Jews don't live in Hillsboro. My husband said we were Jewish, and had children, so were worried, and this idiot told us we should probably move, but refused to take a report. I can imagine, when this good man wanted to turn in his guns, the local police being flummoxed.
