@C And inflation is also due to developed countries, deciding to spend money they didn't have, in order to prevent an economic crash. That was done under Trump's administration and Biden's. The only major difference was, Trump allowed rich corporations first chance at the trough, without limiting what they could suck up.

@elizabethstanley7137 His company is being sued by New York state, because of his corruption. (One set of books for the IRS, another for his creditors.) His "charity" ceased to exist, because it was found to corruptly use monies. (Incidentally, no such corruption can be found in the Clinton's charity.) He was impeached, for corruptly blackmailing Ukraine, with monies authorized by Congress, in an attempt to start a corrupt investigation. He corruptly raised the rates for hotel rooms, for the secret service. He corruptly defied the emoluments clause. His "university" had to cease operations, because it was found to be corrupt. He laundered money for the Russians. He did business with the mob, in NY and NJ. He corruptly had someone else take his SAT for him. From the minute he was born, he has been a corrupt, entitled, dishonest individual. He loves nobody but himself, and his entire presidency has been the definition of self serving and corrupt. He is the most corrupt individual, ever to serve in any governmental role, even more than Boss Tweed.

@C I agreed with you, and added another reason the world is experiencing inflation. And pointed out how Trump helped the rich, rather than those who needed it most. The idea, that Biden caused inflation, is absurd. Everyone knew inflation would result from the Covid bailouts, but no action would have been worse.

@elizabethstanley7137 Yes, and fortunately, we have such a president now. Biden may not be perfect, but is a damned sight better than what he replaced. Sensible Americans no longer dread reading the news, and seeing what new horror the man, in the White House, has perpetrated. And, at least Biden does not betray our allies, and ignore genocide. You are confusing a strongman with a strong leader. Trump wanted to be the former, and was never the latter.

We'll see. Thanks to Trump interfering in Republican primaries, the expected red wave was a mere trickle. Based upon historical precedent, the Republicans should have done much better, in the midterms, and the GOP knows this. It sounds like Murdoch, and much of the donor class, have now turned their backs.
