  1. Hard to think of a part of the country that doesn't have natural disasters. Drought, wild fires, earthquakes, tsunamis, tornadoes. hurricanes, heavy snow, flooding. Why would anyone live in an area with a lot of snow or tornadoes?

  2. It's ironic and sad that insurance won't pay for houses buried in lava, but if they catch fire and burn down, the fire insurance will cover it. A lot of us live near volcanoes, and hope they are extinct. Mt. St. Helens proved that assumption wrong a few decades ago.
