The government, especially Ben Gvir, has requested the army do more, but the Ramat Kal, Halevi, illegally appointed by Gantz, while a member of an interim government, just ignored the military practice by Hamas, near the border. The problem was a political tool, heading the army, who was more interested in bringing down the democratically elected government, than doing his job.
