  1. Kipat Barzel, or iron covering. It is designed to protect very small areas from missile barrages. Even if Ukraine had all of Israel's kipat barzel, they would only protect 2% of Ukraine. There are other batteries, that are designed to protect larger areas, that would be better suited to Ukraine's needs.

  3. Kipat Barzel is designed to protect much smaller areas. Israel is only 3% the size of Ukraine. And they don't provide "complete coverage". They are good, but when missiles are being fired, at civilians, Home Front Command warns all the population at risk, and all head to their bomb shelters and re-enforced rooms (mamad). You get used to your phone app warning you to seek cover. You get used to everyone cramming into the mamad, usually at night, listening to the distance "boom" as kipat barzel blows up another missile. But, some slip through. And sometimes, if there is a direct hit, even the mamad can't keep you safe.
