  1. Sanders is a socialist. Many will not vote for an avowed socialist. The math he used the justify many of his proposed program on his last attempt is way off. Intelligent people want the numbers to add up, and will not vote for him. People are afraid that he is too old and will not vote for him. Despite being Jewish, he is against Israel, and his people will not vote for him. Let him run as a Dem again, and he will lose again. We need a centrist with a heart, not a socialist quisling in Democratic's clothing.

  2. You clearly don't know Israelis. Most of my Israeli friends respect the Kurds, know people who made aliya from Kurdish lands and know that they treat those different from them well. They admire them for continuing to fight for their land, even though all the world is against them. (And feel a kinship because of this.) Yes, having another true democracy in the area is an attractive idea, but they just really feel a great fondness for the Kurds.

  3. Well my personal experience says David is right. I lived a very healthy life style, ate right, exercised, didn't do drugs or smoke, nursed both of my children for a long time, but still got breast cancer. Despite having pretty good insurance, it wiped me out financially and lost my consulting position for me. A year later, someone I knew, who lived in a country with universal care, also got cancer. Not only was he treated with fewer delays than I experienced, it didn't cost him a cent. He even got a stipend to support him, since he couldn't work while undergoing chemo. And since this video was about universal healthcare, your whole business about people being on welfare is not germane. But, more socialist countries have job centers that help find people jobs. If the government helped people find jobs, rather than requiring them to find them for themselves, maybe we'd have fewer people on welfare. Also, in this country, people can hold down 2 or 3 jobs, and still need public assistance. If the minimum wage wasn't so inadequate, more people would find an incentive to work.

  4. Well put, Jonah. Let them spend a night, or week, with their children in a bomb shelter because the "innocent" Arabs are shelling civilians. If Europeans or North Americans had to put their purse through a metal detector just to enter a shopping mall, or be wary of where they go hiking because some sick bastard might stab them to death, they might have a bit of understanding of what you and your country go through. And for the idiot who bitched about human rights, do you have any idea how poorly Arabs respect the rights of others? If you did, you would sing Israel's praise. Israel takes better care of their populace than we do in the USA, especially in terms of health care. And Israel doesn't have as great a percentage of their population in jail as we do. Nor do they engage in the voter suppression we do. Yeah, I'm not crazy about the amount of power the datim have, but also I don't like our Electoral College giving so much power to the backward states. And you may not like Bibi, but he is a lot better than Trump.

  6. You are being absurd. For one thing, if you'd ever had an MRI, you'd know that nobody would want an unneeded one. Most medical procedures are unpleasant at best, many are downright painful. Who would seek them for amusement? Additionally, if the co-pay is too large, people will wait until a disease is advanced before seeking medical care. This makes the disease harder (and more expensive) to treat. And sometimes treatment is too late to succeed. Preventative care is cheaper than disease treatment. eg. If a person has high cholesterol, but has a yearly physical. At that physical, the condition is discovered and treated by a change in diet and statins. But if the condition were not diagnosed and treated, they have a heart attack and need a triple bypass surgery. They'll still need to take statins, but someone has to pay for the surgery as well.

Why should I have to obey the rules of someone else's religion? Are they willing to give up bacon and cheeseburgers because my religion forbids eating treyf?
