  1. These officials with impunity are a menace on the roads. They will tailgate and speed and look you dead in the eye like they don't care that you are being made uncomfortable with their driving. Why do they not have to obey the same traffic laws as everyone else? They have their little shields in the window above their inspection stickers, so you know they are some kind of officials or member of that person's family. This lady knew the routine. If they won't even give a jail guard a ticket, I guess they give none of these people tickets. Then the poor, if they don't pull over, be polite and take the ticket, they are at risk of being shot. Maybe Hochul should look into this two-tiered justice system and not just complain about this DA who outed it.

  3. He said Qatar paid for Arab studies majors in the USA, Arab studies departments at universities. From that he assumed that it was this type of education that caused the protests. Most people don't major in Arab studies or even take one class in it. The thing that is spurring on these protests, aside support from Jewish benefactors like the Gelmans, is that people are not ignorant, they see the firsthand accounts of the atrocities in Gaza and want to see an end to it. They could be English majors who are analyzing the news critically, among others. It is about thinking critically, which is what college and especially a liberal arts degree is supposed to engender in people.

  4. They were about to have a Waffle House throw down in a fancy restaurant. I think everyone should pay for what they ordered including the guest of honor. If someone didn't invite her, but she invited them, she should pay at least her own way for the party. That isn't fair to stick people with a huge bill like that. A $60 dinner would be a lot, but $600 they might have to go into debt to pay.

People who take credit for helping are usually just helping themselves. That is terrifying to be doing your part, and then have the rug pulled out from you literally, over and over, so that you wind up without shelter again and again.

  7. The easiest thing to do is learn how to cook cheaper foods and buy your own food. Oatmeal is super cheap even if you get organic. Throw on some organic fruit in season, and you have a better, healthier meal than a McSausage Muffin synthetic creation and it costs less. Or buy some whole wheat bread and put almond butter and fruit on the bread. You can eat good food without it being expensive. Even if they build more single-family homes, more rental units, the rich will keep hoarding them in this free market capitalistic system. It is the big and strong preying on the weak and small. As compassion shrinks, corruption increases, the little guy is getting left out in the cold. The more they build, the less housing there winds up being because they tear down existing units to rebuild for luxury lifestyles only. I think the American economic system was designed to implode. It was designed to work only if there are honest citizens upholding it. We don't have that.

  14. This is scary and horrible but the driver really had poor customer service skills. He was just like I am kicking you out, bye, have a nice day. The guy was clearly not even in control of himself. What the little Uber driver should have done is looked up the address himself, on his little I phone app or a map or a GPS. If you are going to pick up drunks, don't expect them to be able to say much coherently. If this was a cab, he would have to have had the address and directions before leaving. He would have had an intercom with the base and been able to call them for assistance. Uber is like two strangers alone and who knows what will happen.

  17. I think it is interesting that Americans eat out like half the time or spend half their money for food on dining out. A lot of news stories a just what new restaurant opened or what the latest restaurant food trend is. I think it is a big part of our culture to dine out. A lot of festivals now involve food trucks. People pay one price to get in and then go from truck to truck tasting all the foods. Normally you would just get a meal at one place. Americans are sex and food obsessed plus just consumer obsessed with spending and wasting material goods. That is the culture now. The younger ones just text all the time also. That isn't really exercise. It is just a very obsessive culture. People don't relax and just socialize casually in person and meditate and maybe spend time in nature walking. Everything they do is compulsive, which raises adrenaline and stores fat.

How can you be sued if the person isn't even buying it? maybe they just don't want people to take things instead of buying things. Some people are like that. You can see that they stick together to defend each other. I think the reasons they both are removed are flimsy at best. So much more is going on; they are being scapegoated, but for what? I think because there are even more draconian restrictions coming down the pike, and Cuomo as governor maybe was going to draw the line. He did kill a lot of elderly in nursing homes with the COVID patients stuck in there, but now the new governor Hochul and Diblasio are putting in restrictions and mandates that are so much worse than what Cuomo had.

  29. Who would want to fly on Spirit Airlines if their planes are full of holes and unsafe? They might have killed him for publicizing that. There are ways someone can infect someone with a virus like COVID. If you have pneumonia, you need to cough up the phlegm, not breathe through a ventilator. The hospital was complicit in his death. The planes are dangerous and dehumanizing as it is. Aside from the TSA screenings, bag checks, long waits in lines, delays, etc., the planes are cramped up and not properly pressurized. You can burst an eardrum on a plane while crammed into hard plastic shell seating next to snobby people who resent your existence on earth. A steward might throw you a bag of peanuts or drop of a tray like they are feeding the inmates. It was a super unpleasant experience years ago. Now you even have these people who pick fights and then tackle people on planes and then have them arrested and charged with felonies for resisting the mob. Some people are accustomed to being treated like cattle on public transportation crammed like sardines or sitting in traffic miles long every day. This is no big thing for them maybe to be treated like their time and comfort are inconsequential. Throwing in the plane could fall apart in midair is maybe the last straw for some people.
