That is amazing that Nick learned Spanish enough to hold conversations with people and it only took him three months. I wonder what his method was. People take it for years in school and still can't communicate well. They come up here trying to escape extortionists. Why not just tell them no? Tell the police? Band together with neighbors to stop them? If you are up here, the extortion is hidden. You have to pay for things like insurance and taxes and the prices keep going up. Going to a hospital can bankrupt you. It is a whole different system, but is it really less evil?

Well it looks pretty good, but compared to CECOT I don't know. How they could be so cruel and inhumane and then have a work camp. At least no one is depressed and it is clean from what I see. Nick enjoyed himself there.

That was a miracle that family found an apartment for $1650 a month. Most of these people won't find anything or will be crammed into an illegal situation. What I don't understand is if they can work in so many other south American countries, why not stay there and work? Why come up here where everything costs more? I think it is funny how the first guy says NYC is collapsed while they are collapsing it for the migrants. They are like they would rather get out of this disaster of a city and go back down south near to where they came from. They can travel the country and get free flights, food and hotel stays like an endless vacation. Then they will decide they have had enough and go home.
