Even though kids are crazy horribly mean, it is the adults who are their role models and encourage them. The only way to prevent something like this really, is for the parents to make their kids strong enough that they aren't affected by what other people say. She seemed like a happy kid other than that bullying. If people are being evil to you, and maybe it is a pack of evil kids there, you have to be taught to stay to yourself and find other interests. If the school and kids' parents encouraged it, they are low lives, but it is hard to police what people do on their own computers and iphones.
If you have a strong support network and confidence in yourself, you can let criticisms slide and take it for what it is. It shouldn't have mattered what these stupid kids think, and if it is going to be a problem, the parnets maybe need to just not let their kids on social media. When the parents throw up their hands and act like they need to change schools or act helpless before children, it sends the message to the kid that there is no way out. You need to be a positive influence of real support that counters what these kids say.
Parents are responsible for their children's emotional well being. Kids shoudln't have to feel scared and overwhelmed by what other people think. This girl seemed to be good at cheerleading and whatever else she was doing. There was no reason for her to feel that inferior that she would listen to what these kids said. They were honeslty probably jelaous of her and just insensitive. I wonder if they are sorry now?
