Couldn't they just take their mansions and Prada and Gucci and sell them off to pay their tax bills? Strip them down to living in a small apartment? That would probably drive them crazy enough. Our justice system doesn't seem to be based on mercy. It is about extracting all the misery out of those incarcerated as possible and finding guilty people on the edges of criminality. The guy to me does look like a big fake and a phony. How does his wife end up caught as well? Don't they file jointly, but he does the return? Okay he was a crook and a cheat, but we have way too many people locked up. We do need a overhaul of the prison industrial complex.
