  1. Our system of government was dependent on people of good moral character running things. That was considered a dangerous flaw brought up by some of the founders. When the greedy and narcissistic take over, the system collapses. When society is set up one way, such as depending on foreign trade, helping the poor and vulnerable, etc. and then that that is undermined suddenly, things will fall apart. The terrifying thing that has been going on for years is as the low cost housing disappears, the homeless are also. There used to be visible homeless around. If they aren't in housing and aren't around outside, then what happened to them? Some might move to Florida or CA for I think most don't. These people could be killed or dying off like the people in Gaza left with no homes or resources and run around like chickens with nowhere to roost. Homeless services is a lot of bureaucrats taking money and not caring if they help people. They will show up to eviction hearings as navigators or do intakes as assistance outlets and saying nothing or do lengthy intakes just to say they won't give you anything, sorry.
