If they were drunk and rowdy and the friend locked t hem out, why did he keep their keys, wallets and cellphones inside? Did he drug and kill them and dump them in the yard? I wouldn't take my wallet or keys or cellphone out and just randomly leave them out while visiting someone. Maybe they were in the coats, but why did he send them out without their coats? He seems like he is waiting a long time to come up with a story that is plausible.
