  1. It is almost paying for online sex in the form of online love and romance. It is a huge dopamine hit they are getting. If it seems too good to be true, it probably is. Don't just believe someone out of the ordinary is suddenly in love with you. It is sad that we live in such a cold and disconnected society that people fall for fantasies rather than have a sense of belonging already.

  2. Or how about this? Give them advice and if they get mad, they probably don't have the problem and just want the money. I did this with a persistent panhandler at the train station. He said his leg was rotting infected and he was in pain, so I offered to get some healing oil out of my purse and pour it on his infection. Then he was like oh no and couldn't leave fast enough.

  4. As soon as you get a web ID, run it and see where it is coming from. It will probably be from a VPN hub in a foreign country. Then you know they are lying. I would stay off these dating sites. Go meet people in person or stay alone. If you do meet someone, don't be dishing out money for problems. They are adults, so they should be handling their own finances.
