  1. He had enough of a good life to know he was being mistreated and that somehow someone would help him escape if he got their attention. He must have been badly brainwashed not to have tried something sooner. Sometimes these crazy women have such a need for control that they will take advantage of someone else's freedom until their on their last breath and not have any compassion. He sounds like a friendly, nice boy who this woman was draining the energy and life out of like a vampire.
