  1. How could they dig in from the outside? They were just popping down the grates on the sidewalk with pickaxes? I think they did it from the inside. I think that Rabbi Seligson had to have known what was going on. There is a temporary wall up. Isn't that suspicious right there? People in the buildings over the tunnels heard noise and reported it, but the leader of the congregation had no idea?
