  1. Part of the problem is terrible landlords who make you live in squalor and abuse tenants and even try to drive them out. Part is migrants taking the entry level housing stock. Part is people wanting top dollar for rentals and converting them to Air B&B hotel rooms. For a politician to be believable, he has to start addressing one of these issues in a noticeable way. Just saying well we need more people who care like Mr. Andy isn't really addressing what he himself is doing. Mr. Salmon as a mid-level politician really isn't doing anything because he says he can't. So, the problem is there is no law against what is happening and no law preventing it from happening and so it will get worse.
