  3. She should sue them and make them either fix it or buy back her home. That is a violation of the sale. It wasn't sold as is, it was sold under the assumption that everything worked. Sue them for the value of the house, moving expenses, and pain and suffering. They tell you that nonsense about toilet paper and crumbs when the pipes are laid wrong and cant drain the water. I don't know how much it would cost to fix it, but she should let her friend do it and then bill the company who sold it to her like that. I wonder if they just take advantage of elderly women thinking that they won't have the strength to fight back, so they can cut corners and not take the time to put in the pipes properly. She needs an estimate of what it will cost to repair it and then sue the company for that much or just make them buy back her house.
