  1. In NW NJ, there are ponds that have completely disappeared as well as creek beds that have all but dried up. There are a lot of dry leaves on the ground since it is the end of fall. A lot of Northwest NJ is wooded. If they can't get things under control in West Milford, Pompton Lakes and Ridgewood, it can spread west and north and effect a lot more areas. At least get ready with hoses hooked up to outdoor faucets and fire blankets to beat out sparks. If the whole place ignites, there might not be a way to drive out.
