  1. She has to be evicted in a court of law. She should tell the judge their stupid frivolous excuse to get her out. I don't think she can be evicted for that. She needs to fight. They can't just lock her out on a whim. She should call the police if they try. That is illegal seizure. They want all the apartments to be luxury and unaffordable to ordinary people. Those are nice, beautiful cats. They only enhance the whole atmosphere.

  3. People lose vouchers because time runs out before they can find a place. Then the next person in line gets a chance to look. It was always hard to find a place but now it is nearly impossible. People who need a new place with a voucher are probably just going to lose it and wind up homeless. Landlords will randomly kick people out because they resent people having the benefit. There is prejudice against the poor and disabled.

  4. When are lawmakers going to put an end to this? It is unreasonable. She is taking good care of her place, is healthy and has her grandson there to help her, and the greedy landlords are going to upset the whole thing. Do they want her on Medicaid in an abusive nursing home and her grandson on the streets? That will cost more money to the government. Either lower property taxes and utilities, or just cap the rent. Everyone low income is being driven out of their homes. They can't do that to make more money, it is unconscionable. I am so sick of hearing this. Americans are being treated like garbage to be swept away at the whim of landlords only interested in money. This is low-income housing for seniors, leave it alone. I can't believe no one in that town is going to do anything about it. It is elder abuse. She can't be homeless, look at her. She will die. This is not right.

  5. Where can you go if all the rents are going up the same way? All landlords want market rent. If the majority raise the rents, they all do.

  8. Good for the people of this little town and county. They are small and humble, but they will fight to protect who they are. I see these Christian wolves in sheep's clothing as like the Christian Taliban. They just want to rule in their own corrupt ways with their own twisted beliefs while hiding behind a religious purity facade. It comes down to zoning. Don't permit them to build anything. Don't let them control the real estate. Don't let them in the local GOP. Just stand your ground and don't let them guilt you into corruption.
