You aren't trash because you have a heart and soul and determination. Those are things money and privilege can't buy. Have you thought of transferring to a technical college and acquiring a skill? Those people might be more down to earth, they can make good money, and you won't have as much student debt. Look into vocational rehab/workforce development programs in your area and see if you can get a scholarship for being low income.

Rent control. It has to be mandated. The rich cry because they underpay staff and then can't get their food faster. Share the wealth or suffer alone. I think that sneaky mayor is purposely putting the affordable housing where their rodeo museum is as an excuse for people to oppose it. There is plenty of open land there, put the people out there. Build their homes out there or give them a plot and let them build their own. I am sure the cook and garbage man would be up for that. It is greed that is killing this country. You can't build more luxury housing with a few temporary affordable units thrown in and call that taking care of affordable housing needs. Then there is the problem of these undocumented people just walking in and taking the housing opportunities that would have gone to people like the garbage man and his mother and sisters who are actually citizens. That isn't right either. She prefers it up here, but hey, this is not her country.

Yeah, that is good, but as soon as that person is forced out, they can raise the rent to market levels which is too high for most people. Then there is a huge incentive to evict people for no reason just to get the higher rent.

He got $20 per hour and had to work $70 hours per week. It was exhausting him. They were getting two workers for $10/hr at that rate!!!

Working 70 hours a week with no overtime. Obese from the stress. Sounds like a great life.
