  1. when they told her they were throwing her out, she should have moved everything to storage, taken her kids somewhere, and gotten out. It isn't making life hard for the locksmith, he is laughing at her. It isn't making it hard for the landlord, he is getting her out either way. She is making it hard for herself. I don't know if she lost her reasoning ability due to the stress of the situation, but this little game she is playing is only hurting her. Now she will probably never get her kids back, is going to lose what is left in the house, and is going to have an eviction record. I don't know what the point of this story is. Yes she seems nice and is trying hard, but she is not making good choices now. That is going to mess her up. Thinking it can only get better is wrong. It can get endlessly worse. She put herself into a downward spiral. The only way it gets better is by consistently doing the right thing. Making it hard for the landlord, sheriff, etc., is really making it worse. By losing what little grip you still had, it is going to be nearly impossible to get back let alone keep going.
